Impfung gegen das Corona-Virus
Offer of vaccination against the Corona virus for children from 5 to 11 years
Dear sir or madam,
the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has permitted the vaccine by the manufacturer BioNTech/Pfizer to be used also for children aged 5 to 11 years. The vaccine, which was specifically developed for this age group, will be available at the vaccination centre of the City of Passau as of December 15th, 2021.
Booking an appointment at the municipal vaccination centre at X-Point-Halle (Messestraße 12, 94036 Passau) can be done online via the registration portal set up specifically for the vaccination of 5- to 11-year-olds. Please find the button for registration below and enter the child's details.
Please note: The vaccine is only intended for children who on the day of their first vaccination are at least 5, but not yet 12 years old.
For people who do not have access to online registration, registration is also possible by contacting the telephone number 0851/396-850.
A paediatrician will be available on appointment at the municipal vaccination centre in order to provide vaccination information and advice. All you need to bring is a child's ID card, passport or other proof of identification and a vaccination certificate, if available. As the children are minors, the presence of their legal guardians is also required. The vaccine of the manufacturer BioNTech/Pfizer, which has been approved for the age group 5 up to 11 years, is used exclusively.
It is expressly pointed out that vaccination cannot be carried out without clear proof of identification at the municipal vaccination centre. In case your child does not have a vaccination certificate, it can be issued on site.
If your child suffers from a chronic illness or impairment, please make an appointment at the Children’s hospital (Kinderklinik Dritter Orden Passau) which offers a Covid vaccination consultation specifically for this purpose.
As a matter of course there is also a vaccination on offer at the general practitioners’ that you can take advantage of.
Only if a large part of the population is vaccinated against the Corona virus the pandemic can be overcome. If your child has already been vaccinated, please consider this letter irrelevant.
